Once upon a time in the stone age, a bunch of cave dwellers decided they were tired of just throwing rocks at each other for fun. So, they grabbed some sticks and a roundish rock they called a “ball” (mostly because “boulder” was too heavy to say). They gathered in the nearest clearing, and thus, baseball was born! Instead of bases, they used mammoth bones, and the outfield was simply the area where they hoped no saber-toothed tigers would show up. The first pitch was thrown, and let’s just say it was a "home run" ... if you count running for your life as a home run! And that, my friends, is how America's favorite pastime began—right before the invention of Netflix and pizza!
