Australian Patience

Puzzle 4003

Welcome to the wild world of Australian Patience, where the cards are dealt and the drama is real! Your mission, should you choose to accept it (and trust us, you definitely should), is to wrangle all those pesky cards into 4 foundations like a cowboy rounding up cattle — but with less dirt and more glitter.

The game kicks off with 4 upturned cards per 7 tableau piles, because why not have a party for those cards? Your foundations are sitting pretty above the tableau piles, like a VIP section at a nightclub. Meanwhile, the left side is home to a lone card in the discard pile, which is basically a sad solo act waiting for its moment to shine, and the stock pile, which is like a mystery box of surprises waiting to be opened — but spoiler alert: you can’t redeal, so choose wisely!

Now, here’s the fun part: you can move cards down by suit, like a card conga line. If you’ve got a group starting with a 7 of spades, you can shimmy it over to an 8 of spades on another pile. And remember, only Kings get to rule over empty tableau piles. It’s a royal affair, folks!

Every time you successfully send a card to the foundation, you’ll score a whopping 100 points – cha-ching! Just be sure to keep an eye on that stock pile and make your moves like a card ninja, because once it’s gone and you’re out of moves, the game ends and you’ll have to face the music (or just the sad little discard pile). So, put on your game face, shuffle those cards, and let’s win this thing like it’s a card-playing contest in the Outback! 🃏

Have fun in this challenging variant of Klondike Solitaire!
