Welcome to Aces and Kings, the solitaire game that will have you questioning your life choices and the existence of logic itself! Picture this: two decks of standard playing cards have decided to throw a wild party, but the goal is to escort all the cards to their designated VIP sections, aka the foundations.
When the game kicks off, you’ll see 8 empty foundations chilling in the middle like they’re waiting for a pizza delivery. Meanwhile, 2 reserve piles are getting 13 face-up cards each—because who doesn’t love a good card buffet? And let’s not forget the 4 tableau piles at the bottom right, serving up 1 lonely card each, looking like the last kids picked for dodgeball.
Now, the remaining cards are all huddled face-down in the stock pile, trying to come up with a plan to escape to the discard pile. The left foundations are all about that upward mobility (A to K, no suit discrimination), while the right foundations are going downhill faster than your New Year’s resolutions (K to A, also suit-free!).
Each tableau pile can only hold one card—it's like a very exclusive club. If one gets empty, a card from the stock pile gets to fill that void, like a friend stepping in when you’re out of snacks. But beware! If the stock pile runs dry and you’ve got no moves left, it’s game over, man!
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to make clever moves like a card ninja, utilizing the foundations wisely and strategizing like you're planning a heist. So grab your thinking cap and prepare for a hilarious card showdown that will either leave you victorious or questioning why you thought this was a good idea in the first place!
